Sunday Afternoon Snack, Argentine Style

Sunday Afternoon Snack, Argentine Style

Steak. Bread. Chimichurri. It’s a midday snack that’ll completely change your Sundays. This recipe is ideal to close out your weekend on a high note. Simply use some fresh bread stacked with flank steak and top it off with chimichurri sauce and a slice of juicy tomato.

To prepare the flank steak, we recommend keeping the seasoning simple: sea salt and cracked black pepper. Then grill it over hot charcoal and open flames to get those smoky flavors we know and love!

Make your own chimichurri sauce, using these ingredients:

1 teaspoon of chopped garlic

¼ cup of chopped parsley

1 chopped scallion (the green part only)

2 teaspoons of chili flakes

2 teaspoons of chopped fresh thyme

½ cup of wine vinegar or lemon juice

½ cup of extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper

Mix them all up in a small bowl, adding the olive oil last. It’s best to chill the chimichurri for two hours before dishing it out, but if you can’t wait, we understand. We usually can’t either.
