Summer… it’s on. Now’s the time to be outside, catch some rays and hang with friends. When the weather gets this hot though, you can start to work up a sweat in all kinds of ways: working out; manning the grill at the BBQ; or even just lounging in the grass at whichever music festival is in town. The warm weather calls for something cool … and we’ve got the perfect cocktail. Introducing the Malbec Spritzer.

While we usually reach for a classic pour of Malbec at get-togethers, this ridiculously easy Malbec Spritzer is a fresh way to refresh, and gives our favorite wine an extra burst of liveliness for the season. Check out the recipe below – and feel free to make a big batch in a pitcher for your next party.

Malbec Spritzer

• 6 oz. Malbec wine
• 2 oz. club soda, chilled
• Lime wheel

Pour the Malbec and club soda over a glass of ice. Squeeze a bit of lime juice to taste, then garnish with a lime wheel.

That’s it! Cool and light, this is a must-have quick cocktail for those hot summer days and nights – and you still get to enjoy that classic Malbec taste. We tend to have a little more time on our hands during the summer months, but you won’t be spending any of that time on this drink. A stir and a squeeze are all it takes to achieve maximum coolness.
